Nowadays stalking through facebook has become really common. People, who are a little mad, get bored and start stalking an innocent girl without any reason. People usually do that so that the girl can be their friend. But actually victims get horrified. Stalkers get every single detail about the victim and start threatening them for instance “ I will edit your pictures and send them to your house”. In Pakistan getting personal details like numbers, addresses is really easy. Stalkers mentally torture the victims. It is actually really bad because it can even cause mental illness to the victims too. Not only the victim but its whole family gets affected. If you do not want something to be known, avoid uploading on facebook because it is seen/read not only by your friends but also those who know their way around internet. Do not put up cover photos in which your face is visible. Do not put your phone numbers, cell numbers, email addresses, street addresses on facebook or any other social networking site. Your real friends know what your number is and where you live. Avoid communicating with anyone one other than your trustworthy friends. If a message looks dubious, delete it. Do not click on links unless you are absolutely sure what they are. And one should never get trapped but tell his/her family immediately about the stalker. And families shouldn’t take their freedom away after an incident like this, they wont tell you about anything like this again and something even worse can happen God forbid.
