Vote-A National Duty

To be a citizen of this country we have certain rights and privileges. We also have certain responsibilities to be active in positive change. One of the major positive change you can bring is in the form of vote. To vote is to give a voice in playing a role in positive change. Voting is a privilege, right and duty of each and every component of a democratic system.
At the time when our predecessors won their voting right in compensation for their blood, voting was a right for the people to join in local and national government. However, considering todays situation with the voting right, I feel that voting is a national duty rather than a national right.
Voting is important because it exercises your right as a citizen to express your issues and ideas. Voting also helps us decide who will lead our country. Many men and women who have served this country have given their lives just so that you can be able to vote. Voting is important because it’s not only a right but also a privilege.
Why people refrain from voting is no puzzle, either. Many think that their individual vote does not matter in the large scheme. Some also thinks that no one in the present candidates deserve to be in power, and thus don’t bother to vote.
We have a society at risk for losing the leadership status with the world. The list goes on and on. Watch the news and see all of the problems and think about the root of the problem, how we can solve the problems, and what it will take to get the job done. Many citizens today want the benefits of society but do not want to do their part in making good things happen. Life is not about taking, it is about giving.

It's important to vote because we have the right to vote. You should also vote because if you want someone to win an election you might be the deciding vote.
