Tell us a bit about yourself?
My name is Amsal Qureshi and I was born and raised in Lahore. I am a vocalist, guitarist, composer & song writer. I started playing guitar at the age of 14 and came into music field at 16… I started my musical career by working in an event management and production company of my dad… At that time I worked with many underground bands and singers as I used to compose and write songs for them and sometimes used to perform with them… After working with many artists for such a long time I started focusing on my own songs and music… So now a days I’m working on my songs and album…
The most
important thing that I’m quite proud of is that I’m the grandson of the famous
national poet Muzaffar Warsi. . . He was the one who wrote Wohi Khuda Hai &
Ae Khuda Ae Khuda and many more…

What are your songs about?
My songs almost cover every situation that we deal with in our daily routine lives…
What’s the theme behind your song “Koi Janay Naa”? Well my song Koi Janay Naa is all about love, heartbreak and broken promises. At first I just wrote the first two lines of my song and I never had the intention of making it a love song as it came out unintentionally....
Who inspired you to become a singer?
Well my grandfather (Nana) who was a poet and had a very melodious voice. I grew up listening to him and I always admired his vocals. It was his dream that he wanted me to see my name among the best artists of this world. So in short he inspired and kinda forced me to become a singer.

Faraz Anwar [Mizraab]
Is there any message you consistently try to portray in your music ?
Well my songs are all about peace, love and respect and they exclude the hate speech. So yeah you can say that this is the message that my music portrays.
If you got a record deal at this second, would you accept it?
Yeah obviously who wouldn’t.
Would you prefer performing solo or with band?
Now I prefer being solo.
Best performance yet?
My best performance yet was in Lahore at the opening ceremony of a Boutique. It was not as such of a huge performance but it was in front of many celebrities of Pakistan who afterwards came to me and appreciated my performance.
Views about Pakistani music industry?Well its good for old but not for new… If you’re new then all you need is a strong reference no matter how much talented you are…
