WORLD MUSIC DAY CELEBRATIONS 2013 BY CITY FM89
World music is a musical category encompassing many different styles of music from around the world, including traditional music and music where more than one cultural tradition intermingle. World music's inclusive nature and elasticity as a musical category pose obstacles to a universe.
The event is also known as Fête de la Musique (or World Music Day) and originated in France in 1982. Since then the idea has spread across the globe with each event holding to the same set of principles: that the day is held on the mid-summer solstice and that all concerts and events are free to the public with a non-profit making objective. Music day is celebrated every year on 21st of June.
World Music Day is celebrated every year and this time it was celebrated by the Team of CityFm89 in Islamabad Club, Islamabad, Pakistan on 22nd of June,2013. As we saw crowd nearly 300 which came out of their homes in severely hot weather, but Yes! they came to enjoy the World Music Day. Families and Youth came to enjoy the event. CityFm89 team managed the event very well. Cityfm89 has been celebrating world music day every year since 2007.
The Underground and some famous Singers and Bands of Islamabad performed in the event. The names of the singers and bands are as follow:

= Hasnain Aur Zeeshan
= BlackHour
So in the end the event went well and people enjoyed it. And we hope to see further more events like this in Islamabad.
