Name: Mohammad ALi
·
DOB: 7th dec 1992
·
Nick Name: TGO (The Great one)
·
Favorite dish: I love food. Favorite dish hmm okay It has to be desi food &
I really this place called Sumy’s in karachi. They have amazing burgers.
·
Tell us a bit about yourself?
·
There’s nothing better in life than doing what you love. So yeah
I’m trying to do that. I’m a Karachi boy with high goals. I believe in giving
peace a chance in our society. Life is very un-certain so I’m trying to make
each moment memorable.
·
Study background?
·
I went to a community
school where they tried their best to put limitations on my mind. I survived
all those years and went to a college where I found out that I want to be a
public speaker. I did social/welfare work and public speaking during the
college days. The only reward I was getting was the inner satisfaction so I
decided to write few tracks and yeah ‘Karachiology’ was one of them.
·
What are your songs about?
·
I’m currently working on an album. I haven’t decided the name
yet but tbh My songs are inspired by so much that happens in our daily lives. From
life’s daily struggles in Karachi to personal dreams and aspirations. I’ll be
covering a lot of stuff in this album. I really want to help bring our nation
together through nice music.
·
Who inspired you to become a singer?
·
My surroundings. Everybody in our society is talking about the
problems and very few are actually doing something about it. Someone’s struggle
really inspires me. Everybody has to do a lil too much of struggle or else you’re
just another human being.
·
That one artist you would love to work with?
·
Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan!
·
Define music/singing in your own words?
·
It’s
a way of communication. To expresses ideas and what you feel about certain
thing in life. I intend to use metaphorical
content in my raps.
·
Is there any message you consistently try to portray in your music?
·
There’s a verse from my song ‘Nothing is forever; it will end in
a blink. You can rule the world but only if you Think.’
·
If you got a record deal at this second, would you accept it?
·
It depends. if I have the creative independence then yeah Why
not
·
Would you prefer performing solo or with band?
It’s
good when you have band members around. I like to perform with my entourage.
Best performance yet?
Recently
I performed for samaaTV Eid show. There were people from the current Parliament
and Entertainment industry. It was an amazing experience. A lot of appreciation
is quite motivating.
Views about Pakistani music industry?
It has been taken care of. I’m here now,
Next question please.
Which Pakistani female vocalist would you like to collaborate with?
QB.
She has an amazing voice
Which Pakistani male vocalist would you like to collaborate with?
Ali
Azmat is the boss.
How much role does the sound editing software’s play in a final ready to listen
song?
They
do play a significant role but not if you’re a lyricist. Improving quality of a
soundtrack is really important and it doesn’t matter if you do it through
software or anything.
Which musical instrument do you play really well?
I’m
a rapper and a writer so I take care of the vocals part.
Worst comment by any hater?
Haha
I get a lot of criticism regarding my music. I’ve come across a lot of people
who start a statement with rejection. You put something in front of them and
they’d be like ‘No’. Their negative energy helps me improve my work. Keep it
coming guys
Any upcoming projects?
I’m
working on an album these days. I’ve completed one of the tracks called ‘Bachis
In Bolans’. I’ve performed it in couple of concerts and the feedback I got was
amazing.
Any message for your fans
My
fans are the most amazing fans ever. They support and appreciate my work. I’d
like to thank you all. 2014 is going to be The great year.
