The Darkest Hour

What a tragedy has fallen upon us. We are no more united. Maybe we did not try to be one nation with one cause. Sigh to everything that happened on 10th Muharram. Despite of banning all the networks in Pakistan, still the trouble mongers managed to create chaos in different cities of Pakistan especially, in the twin cities.

It all started at 3 pm when Jummah prayers were held and all the spiritual leaders were giving sermon on Muharam. Suddenly, the news was followed by a chaos in Raja Bazar, Rawalpindi. The Shia Sunni fights started over. They almost burned down the Madrassah, slaughtered little children as well they put the cloth market on fire.

Nonetheless, media stayed silent. There came no coverage at least for three hours after these incidents took place. Around 6pm, some news channels revealed the news of the incident but, mainly our media remained silent for what reason I must say!

I and many others must be deeply saddened by the media, whose responsibility is to aware the masses with all type of events but, why was it silent when we should have known what’s happening around us. Thanks to social media with whose help we are continuously updated with news, every minute.

Through this platform, I must tell the authorities to stop fooling the nation! Banning mobile signals will not ever get you anywhere. This can never be the solution to stop the chaos, the killings and God knows what more! At this moment, the country is in its darkest hour as curfew has been imposed in various cities. I wonder if curfew will do anything good to this nation but we need to understand the situation and also ask the authorities to try other techniques as well which can stop all kinds of crimes and catastrophes happening around us.  Let’s hope for the best!
