Evolution: Haha we don’t really have nicknames, names are enough.
FOUNDER OF BAND? HOW IT WAS FOUNDED? :
Evolution: Raafay Israr and Moonis Jamil Khan formed Evolution. Raafay and
Moonis are basically school mates who graduated together and had similar
interest in music, they both had the dream of having their own band and making
it big which later on got fulfilled and with the help of Bilal Naseem and Sabih
Uddin and got into a perfect shape.
STUDY BACKGROUND?
Evolution: All of the band members are currently in different universities as
undergraduates studying film making, computer sciences and business management.
TELL US BIT ABOUT YOUR BAND?
Evolution:
Evolution basically focuses on what the people want to hear, as it
is the fans only cause of who our band keeps going forward and progresses. We
love our fans, just by the way
WHO INSPIRED YOU TO MAKE A BAND?
Evolution: The Pakistani bands such as Junoon, E.P, Vital Signs and Western
artists such as Linkin Park, Bruno Mars, Coldplay have been our biggest inspirations.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY OF PAKISTAN?
Evolution: The band members have been in the music industry since over 5
years, in different bands. They all had been engaged in a musical group before
Evolution was formed.DEFINE MUSIC IN YOUR OWN WORDS?
Evolution: Peace. Addiction. Love.
IS THERE ANY MESSAGE YOU GUYS CONSISTENTLY TRY TO PORTRAY IN YOUR
MUSIC?
Evolution: Well, not really but we firmly believe in the fact that there
should be peace and harmony among all.
IF YOU GUYS GOT A RECORD DEAL AT THIS SECOND, WOULD YOU ACCEPT IT?
Evolution: Absolutely, we’d try to work as hard as possible on it.
BEST PERFORMANCE YET?
Evolution: Luckily, there have been many amazing performances. Evolution did
more than 150 concerts last year. The experience has being amazing and that
feeling when thousands of people sing along with you cannot be defined in
words. Some of the memorable shows were Indepedence Night and Newyear’s night
concert alongside Strings and Ali Gul Pir which were sold out shows of approx 8
thousand people.
I HEARD YOUR SONG CALLED “JUST THE WAY YOU ARE” I REALLY ENJOYED
THAT ONE, HOW WAS THE RESPONSE WHEN YOU RELEASE YOUR FIRST SONG?
Evolution: Thanks to Almighty Allah, the response has been better than
expected. We were quite afraid of the negativity that might have been coming,
but were amazed to see that everyone loved it. Not only our fans but some of
the finest musicians from the industry gave great compliments about it.
WHAT ARE YOUR VIEWS ABOUT PAKISTANI MUSIC INDUSTRY?
Evolution: It has its ups and downs, you never know what the industry wants.
It’s basically the population’s interest that runs the music industry. So we
should always know what our fans want to listen, in order to sustain in the
music industry.
HOW DO YOU RATE PAKISTANI MUSIC INDUSTRY WHEN IT COMES TO
COMPARISON BETWEEN INDIAN MUSIC INDUSTRY?
Evolution: Both are good in their own ways, Indian industry is globally very
huge and popular. Our Pakistani industry has some very talented musicians and
vocalists, which is why they are offered to work in Indian movies as playback
singers as well.
WHAT DO YOU THINK IS THE FUTURE OF ENGLISH MUSIC IN PAKISTAN?
Evolution: It will be appreciated but we must not forget that our language Is
Urdu so even we will try to make songs in Urdu cause it’s understood and spoken
widely all over Pakistan.
WHICH PAKISTANI FEMALE VOCALIST WOULD YOU LIKETO COLLABORATE WITH?
Evolution: QB or Meesha Shafi. They
both of very unique and amazing vocal tone
WHAT DO YOU THINK HOW MUCH ROLE DOES SOUND EDITING SOFTWARES PLAY
IN THE FINAL COMPOSITION OF A SONG?
Evolution: It plays a HUGE Role. A great song can literally be screwed if the
mixing is not good enough.

ANY UPCOMING PROJECT?
Evolution: Yes, we are currently working on a lot of projects, renditions of
some legendary songs as well as our original music video is lined up in the
pipeline. Just cant wait to share it with our fans. WORST COMMENT BY ANY HATER?
Evolution: Thank God we really didn’t have such negative comments YET, haha. The worst would be “Could have been better”.

Evolution: Never Give Up on Your Dreams. Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die today.
HOW DO YOU INTERACT WITH YOUR FANS?
Evolution: We try our best to reply to their messages in a positive manner
and honestly it’s a great feeling whenever they ask you to take a picture with
you. We can just never be rude to them, they are the reason we are here at the
first place.
