ALIHA:I’m originally from Lahore but due to work commitments I keep travelling..I started as a VJ for style 360 but singing was always my passion and a dear friend encouraged me to pursue my dreams so here I am.

ISLOTIMES: When did you discover your creative talent?
ALIHA: Well,
this question is a bit tricky..I guess there isn’t a particular time when you
discover your creative talent...it just comes out naturally.
ALIHA: My singing career is only a year old whereas I’ve been
hosting for 3 years now.. Both have different challenges and commitments..But,
I must add that I enjoy doing both and they are both sacred to me in their own
respective ways.
ISLOTIMES: would you like to tell us what type of program
you host and on which channel you host your program?ALIHA:I first started with Style 360.. I hosted a show called Report 360 for one year and a half then I did different shows for different channels. Currently, I’m doing a TV show with A-plus..
ISLOTIMES: Do you have any role model in singing?
ALIHA: Well,I do admire many musicians by their unique style of music but there isn’t really a role model cause I believe in following your heart and leaving the rest to destiny. Although, I was greatly inspired by Avril Lavigne and her edgy style when I was in my o’levels and wanted to be like her ..
ISLOTIMES: you did a song of Ustad Nusrat Ali khan called
“Sannu Ek pal” would you like to tell us how was the overall response of that
song?
ALIHA: The response of the song was phenomenal. It was just a
step for me to introduce myself in the market as I was a beginner and I didn’t
know how to launch myself as an artist in the music industry. I’m a huge fan of
NFAK so I thought of paying a tribute to the late legend.it was an experiment
and luckily it was appreciated by people.ISLOTIMES: what are your future projects?
ALIHA: I’m working on my own songs. I’ve just completed the
video of “Kya Ye Pyaar Hai” which will go on air very soon, InshaAllah.. Apart
from that I’m working on different songs also composing some of them myself.
ISLOTIMES: Your future plans, what do you want to
continue hosting or singing?ALIHA: I am doing both singing and hosting side by side and they are both very close to my heart.

Soulful
ISLOTIMES: What do you think about the current situation
of Pakistani Pop Industry?
ALIHA: I think it’s getting better as compared to some years in the past and if
the general audience continue to support
our Pakistani music industry it will once again touch cloud no 9 =)
ISLOTIMES: Your Passion in life?
ALIHA: To follow my heart and not doing things strategically
