about yourself? Well, I am Osman
Khan, Singer and Songwriter/ Lead Guitarist. The First Pakistani Grunge Rock
Artist who represented Pakistan in Metal Asia Compilation and i am also
Featured by NME and Rolling Stones Magazine. My Two Rock Solid hits are
"Mujh Mein Hai Aag" and "Aag Reloaded ft. Qzer" from the
Album "Rock A Nation" Released in digital stores worldwide April 30,
2013.
Study
background? Commerce studies then MBA in HRM and now MS in International Politics.
What are your
songs about? My debut album “Rock
A Nation” and all songs in it are all about Youth, Problems of this country and
my personal experience of life. If you talk about Inspiration,
it comes from my own life, incidents and events and sometimes people I meet
enable me to write and trust me I can write about anything. The favorite part
is that it took me about 4-5 years to learn how to express myself with music.
Who inspired you to become a singer? I have grown up like
that I was into arts since school and was on stage when I was in 3rd
standard, I remember I use to be a very keen music listener and I think I was
just passionate about music, passionate I would say as per now but if you say
at that time it was more of craziness. Formed a Islamabad
based Rock band in 2009 and since 2010 started my solo music career.
That one artist you would love to work with? My second album’s work just kicked off, I am thinking of more and more collaborations with international as well as national artists. I promise you all songs with Roxen, Annie Khalid, Wiz Khalifa, Adil Omar and more.

Define music/singing in your own words? Music is what
feelings sound like; it’s a sky so high and so big. It’s a sea so deep and so
wide! Music is everything to me. Real Music chooses you, look around it’s
living with you, either in your iPod or your Car or your phone. Music is
Passion!
Is there any message you consistently try
to portray in your music? Definitely yes, A lot of messages indeed
regarding Patriotism, Problems of a common man, Youth and its wrong direction
and awareness among the masses to demand for their rights.
If you got a record deal at this second, would you accept it? I would say yes if the package and working of the label is good and effective. I have produced “Rock A Nation” and released without a particular label. For my second album, definitely yes for a record label.
You are currently working with a band, ever thought of ditching it? I formed a band in 2007 which lasted up to 2009. I started my solo music career in 2010. Since then I am a solo artist. One Man Army so No chance of ditching by someone, haha.
Would you
prefer performing solo or with your boys? Performing Solo.
Best performance yet? There are many actually, I was live at PC Bhurban, it was one crazy night with almost 5000 people in front of me. I did covers and originals as well and loved every sec of my performance. I shout a lot on stage, it’s the exhibition of raw energy I have, it strikes man and I love it!

Views about Pakistani music industry? It’s almost dead; the new stuff that is coming and disappearing every day is crap, good artists either have shifted abroad or doing something else. It was Coke studio and Rohail Hayaat specially producing good quality music before last season, since then it has just lost its touch. It’s more like keep calm and apne kaam se kaam. So that’s what I am doing, hitting international market rather than national because of the high and low standards respectively. Bigger audience is my preference and I think I am on the very right path.
Which Pakistani female vocalist would you
like to collaborate with? Annie Khalid and Anushka Sharma if she starts
singing.
How much role does the sound editing software’s
play in a final ready to listen song? Sound editing software’s have their own
significance, but I would say for the ready to listen song you should focus on
mixing and mastering much more than editing stuff.
Which musical instrument do you play really
well? a bit of everything. Guitar Off course.
Worst comment by any hater? Haha, many actually so no issues, frankly
speaking I don’t remember sayings from any Ex y Z’s.
Any upcoming projects? Released my first
album “Rock A Nation” with 2 Official Music videos and now I have started
working on my second album and apart from that I am actively participating in
Current affairs and political scenario of the country so don’t be surprised if
you see me in talk shows and current affairs programs.
Any
message for your fans. I would
like to thank everyone who downloaded my album and supported me and believed in
me, there was a point when I was just blank, I would like to Thank my parents
for allowing me to Join PTI as well. And my fans are everything to me, I am
just because of them and they are my driving force.
